IP address questions

Hey guys,

I successfully installed Apache today and have been wondering what IP address I am supposed to be using?  My router's or the IP my router gives my computer?

I got my IP from whatismyipaddress.com and am currently using that as my servername.  If that is the correct IP, how do I access my website?  My root is DocumentRoot "C:\Documents and Settings\zack\Desktop\WWW"

But I cannot do:

http://(my_ip) - it just goes to my router settings

and

http://(my_ip)/index.html - 404 doesnt exist

Any suggestions?  Thanks,

You will have to configure your router to allow access to your internal IP on port 80.

Look in the advanced settings of your router.

Search google then.
