jnull
I am trying to create an sql that will go through my entire database that will remove the first few letters form the data in field, for example:The field I want to update must have data that matches these first seven characters, "About: ", thus the data "About: This Title" when updated should result with "This Title" as the data.Any help is greatly appreciated! ::) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/31585-update-first-few-letters-of-field/ Share on other sites
obsidian
It sounds like you just need to use a SUBSTRING() function within your SQL statement. Look in the MySQL manual at String Functions, specifically SUBSTRING(), and see if this helps.
