Starflower Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 Hello everybody! I have a question.... :) If you have time, I'd be grateful of some advice.I have a forum, and I am the administrator. The idea of the forum is for it to be as free as possible. So, what I want to do is creat a user account that is publicly available, which has permission to create a section to add on to the forum - an account that anyone can access - I'll put up the name and password. So, for example, anyone at all could add a section on flower arranging.But, I DON'T want the powers of that account to extend beyond adding a new section to the forum - for example, I don't want that account to be able to delete that section, or moderate it in any way, or see people's ip address, or limit free speech in that section or affect any other section - only set up a section. Im pretty sure that some forums allow you to make other users administrators and allow you to classify what abilities they have. I can make people moderators, but if I create an acocunt, and make it a moderator, can I limit the power sint he way that I want - including not being able to delte the sections they put up or see people's IP's??
