bowlingtourneycom
I am trying to create a column in my DB that will allow me to have a little more functionality in my DB. Right now I have 3 fields: start_date_month (mm) start_date_day (dd) start_date_year (yyyy) I created a new column called db_start_date (date) and am trying to combine the existing 3 fields to update the entire DB. here's what I tried to run: update t_listings set db_start_date = (start_date_year + start_date_month + start_date_year) however this yields 0 results. Any idea what i'm missing? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/37096-solved-creating-date-field/ Share on other sites
fenway
You need to CONCAT() them together with hyphens, or put it together in PHP. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/37096-solved-creating-date-field/#findComment-177207 Share on other sites

fenway
Strange that you'd need a cast... but ok. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/37096-solved-creating-date-field/#findComment-177545 Share on other sites
