bluebyyou
It looks nice.. A criticism that I have is the slogan "A revelation of online communities." Did you mean revolution? If you meant revelation thats cool and all, I just dont think it makes sense. And.. If someone is unregistered and not logged in I dont think they should see the members list with all of the contact info. shank888
thank you. yeah we'll work on the members being disabled. as for the slogan we're getting rid of it for beta 2 Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39406-beta-test-online-community/#findComment-190285 Share on other sites
Lumio
Yep looks nice... but I don't like the board-pictures... Maybe it would be better, if you use a folder or something like that. I like the registration something new... and maybe you want to use some javascript like the new woltlab burning board ( http://beta.woltlab.com/ ) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39406-beta-test-online-community/#findComment-190371 Share on other sites
ted_chou12
Maybe you should change the colors of: I cant see much difference between the colors of these labels Ted EDITED: It might look very obvious in this background, however, it doesnt in your forum's background. bluebyyou
I didnt see a way for a user to disable or delete thier profile or any privacy settings at all. Also there isnt any security when registering, like verifying email and what not, that makes the BB pretty vunerable to spam. JoshF
Nice. It's simplistic and user-friendly. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39406-beta-test-online-community/#findComment-190739 Share on other sites
obsidian
I'm finding lots of problems with not checking data. The registration form allows any characters, it seems, for user name, and there is no validation of email or anything else as far as I can see. In addition, whenever I see a page with something passed through the URL (ie, user=14), instead of erring out gracefully as I would like to see, I get mysql errors on the page. I'll keep looking and see if I come up with anything else, too. Finalfantasykid
^The url error for when an id does not exist and the like has already been fixed for beta 2. So it now says something like "There is no thread defined by the id 15" As for the email-ing new users, if it is not in beta 2, then it will definatly be in beta 3. -I have made it so that you must be logged in so that you can view the member list and member profiles(beta 2) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39406-beta-test-online-community/#findComment-192704 Share on other sites

Do you want us to help test Beta 2 as well? If so, do you have a link to that install? Finalfantasykid
http://www.ff-xiii.net/bulletin/index.php Its a different database so you will have to re-register. Keep in mind that this is not the final release of beta 2. I suspect that the release of beta 2 will be mid march(march 15 i am aiming for).
