forumnz
Hello, Is it possible to make an SMS gateway so that I can send SMS's from my site? And email? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39427-sms-gateway/ Share on other sites
tom100
I had that problem a while ago, here is how my answer turned out: SMS's work exactly like emails in most cases, depending on the service provider. I will be attaching a lot of the work you would need to do if you decide to go my way. You will have to send an email formatted like this: phoneNumber@cellProvider.com The problem is figuring out their service provider. Good luck with that one, my program makes them specify provider. I have a list of providers and their emails here: http://tomsadvice.com/phpfreaks/cellPhoneEmails.txt Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/39427-sms-gateway/#findComment-190234 Share on other sites
shank888
thats quite useful. no one has the same phone numbers so if u make the text send to everyone in that list the receptiant is bound to receive it. tom100
Thats a bad idea to send it to everything in that list. First, you'll be pretty much instantly marked as spam and your server will be sitting on the toilet for a while.
