netcoord99
Hi.. Man I love this forum. It's nice to have some pros here that will help. Well, I just bought the book "PHP and MySQL Web Development, Second Edition by Welling, Luke; Thomson, Laura [Paperback] By: Luke Welling, Laura Thomson" via Amazon.com and the post office must have thrown it around in the cold because the CD in the back came broke in half. Anyone out there have one of these you'll sell me or send me some files on it or is there anything on it that is worth having or do we have a download library here with better stuff for free? Just looking at it now I see it says there are files containing code listings in the book I will need. Email me directly at maldrich4040 @ charter. net and attach the files please or I will pay you for your CD if you can part with it.. I have the original so there will be no copying problems. thanks.. JBS103
I know everyone learns differently, but.. For all the books I've bought and used, I don't think I've ever used the CD that has come with it. By all means, if you can get a copy, great, but don't stress over it. In the end, you will learn much faster if you put your fingers to use and type out some of what the book has to offer. The syntax and general flow becomes much more natural if you type it out, rather than opening it off a CD. Good luck.
zq29
Books that come with CDs often launch a website, or area of the publishers website where the code from the CD is available to download. Check the first chapter of the book for an address where they might have made the contents available.
