[SOLVED] MySQL data type for lists in a database

Can anyone tell me a best practice for putting a list as the data in the field of a row? Example: Table - users; Field - brothers; Say someone has more than one brother? I've heard of the data type "set", but I've also read on-line in multiple places that I should NEVER, EVER, EVER use it. Any suggestions? Or would it be better to just use another table to associate both?
