DeathStar
Basicly its telling you the file could not be found. ex: include "file.php"; Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/45306-solved-phpmysql-error/#findComment-219969 Share on other sites
wildteen88
I get these errors whne going to link supplied: Warning: main(../../data/conn.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mylabser/public_html/242/morris/projects/project5.php on line 2 Warning: main(../../data/conn.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mylabser/public_html/242/morris/projects/project5.php on line 2 Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening '../../data/conn.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mylabser/public_html/242/morris/projects/project5.php on line 2 The last two errors are caused by the first error message. PHP can't find the file conn.php and thus it throws out those errors. check that conn.php exists in ../../data/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/45306-solved-phpmysql-error/#findComment-219971 Share on other sites
dough boy
I find it difficult to use the ../../../ "syntax". I recommend if you know what the path is (and it will not change within that folder structure) to do something like ./path/to/you/file. Or if this is a commonly included folder, create a .htaccess file that will tell Apache/PHP which folders should be included in the include path. Trium918
Basicly its telling you the file could not be found. ex: include "file.php"; That was my understanding also, but how is it connecting to the database. The content that is displayed on the webpage comes from the database.
