Cheesecake Shop Website

Hi Guys,

The following is a website that I am actively working on for a cheesecake shop in Brooklyn. I need a little bit more direction and critique before I finish up.

http://mizrahi.myvnc.com/justsaycheesecake/8

ALL feedback is welcome.

PS- This site is using a "Nifty Rounded Corner" Template which I have edited- a lot.

1, what does the Creative Commons badge refer to? the Cheesecake or the template? I'm just kinda confused by its inclusion

2, Comic Sans. It doesnt actually look too bad, due to the fact that the template is fairly quirky in itself, but if you can find a better font - do it. there's even an entire website dedicated to it: http://www.bancomicsans.com

3, The top banner text ("Just Say Cheesecake") is very pixellated (FF2 on a PC). Consider a graphical representation instead, and left-aligned.

4, lose the underlines of the navigation tabs. if you can, also try and "blend" the tabs with the page itself - ie, like making that active tab "white" and blend it in with the white content area.

5, Some "panels" need some padding. Like the grey box on the homepage and the Reviews on the About page.

overall, it's not too bad. It's quite quirky and "fun" I guess - just needs some refinement in terms of styling.

thanks for all your feedback.

i'm definitely still working on the padding issues- the site is in no way final or ready to launch

and about the comic sans- i was VERY hesitant to use it, but it seemed appropriate in this specific case- the whole site was in Trebuchet before (my personal favorite web font, though much overused) and im happy you agree that this site can pull off comic sans. wow- who ever thought fonts were so important?

thanks again.

It validates!!  Well done!  :)

I'd like to see the text in the navigation tabs bolder, and maybe make their backgrounds the same color as that used for the cheescake photos.  Speaking of the cheescake photos, it would be nice if all the boxes were the same height, bu that would be tricky with the longer names.

Is there a logo?  Something could be used to fill the empty space on the right side of the header.
