marmite
I don't know much about hosting stuff at all. But it's all gone wrong! I have just ftp'd the site I've been working on to a test domain, www.emmasaunders.com, with a view to testing it properly, before I overwrite the Prod site. It all works fine on my local Apache server, but when I try to call up any page, I get this error message: "Lost connection to MySQL server during query" The logon details in db.inc.php are correct for sure, because they are what the prod site is using. Am I making a really obvious error? I don't know where to begin debugging this one. Thanks Emma Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/48806-solved-files-transferred-from-localhost-arent-connecting-newbie-to-this/ Share on other sites
fenway
Check the refman for this error... there are many possibilities. bubblegum.anarchy
Is "Lost connection to MySQL server during query" a user defined message - if so what line of code is triggering the message? marmite
I've figured it out. (I can't use MySQL on the package I've bought :o/) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/48806-solved-files-transferred-from-localhost-arent-connecting-newbie-to-this/#findComment-239654 Share on other sites
