redbrad0
What is the best forum for large amounts of posts and traffic? We currently have a ASP version of a forum I would like to change over to PHP that has approx 125 users online at any given time, 900,000 topics and 50,000 members. The ones I see most often are SMF & PHPBB which I am not sure which one would be the best for out of the box handling for this high of traffic and content. Anyone have any opinions? redbullmarky
well I could safely say the traffic volumes for phpfreaks isn't too shoddy, so I'd suggest SMF. I'd be keen to see what phpbb come up with in their next version, but as it's a rewrite, it's just too new for me. SMF on the other hand is strong, customisable, and has a proven history behind it. Nameless12
Just get another server to help take some of the load that way you can use whatever forum you wish.
