en3r0
I am having problems on my websites with certain things not working. My one site will not grab rss feeds, and the other wont report external torrent information. I thought it night be the allow_url_fopen in php.ini, but it was set to On. What other options could be affecting this? I am running slackware 11, PHP 4.4.4, MYSQL 5.0.24a, apache-1.3.37-i486-2 I am really lost as to what else it could be... en3r0
From the torrent tracker I get in the sitelog: FAILED update external torrent (infohash: 1b0630e6bcbf1b6910f5204393c985c70c71aaf5) from http://torrent.ubuntu.com:6969/announce tracker (not connectable) I made sure the torrent was active and has thousands of peers. The other website just will not grab the rss feed. The code is clean and works for others. So I concluded that my server cannot access things from the outside. I have tried everything I know, but can not get it to work. eddedwards
maybee a silly thing but have u checked that the firewall accepts what ure trying to do. i dont know slackware but this should be normal: sudo iptables -L -v u should check your firewall log aswell as the apache / php ones. en3r0
sudo iptables -L -v gives: Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination As far as I know, Slackware dosn't have a firewall? On line 301 of php.ini: error_reporting = E_ALL So it should be reporting all errors on the page... @ neel_basu Those are errors for the torrent tracker. en3r0
Quick idea, since this server is at home, it goes through a router to get to the outside world. It has a static IP with DMZ enabled on that IP. That is all it has right now.
