dc_jt
Hi I have put this in Javascript section but there are no users in there so I hope it is ok to put in here too. I have the following code which works with IE but not in Firefox: <!-- function changestudent(){ document.getElementById('status').value = 'remove_image'; add_edit.submit(); } --> It is linked to a remove image button which when clicked submits and saves the form and then removes the image. It works in IE but not firefox, anyone know? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/52829-submitting-form-not-working-in-firefox/ Share on other sites
448191
The DOM specification uses nodeValue. document.getElementById('status').nodeValue Oh, and there's a Javascript Help forum for this type of thing. 448191
Somebody will come along move this thread to the correct board, don't worry too much about it. Please don't do it again though. Back on topic: I think I may have misunderstood the use of this script. I'm guessing .value refers to an attribute 'value' of the element with the id 'status', right? setAttribute('value') is indeed the correct way to do it, but .value should work in FF too. The problem is probably in the shortcut to the form, so avoid the shortcut: document.forms['add_edit'].submit(); Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/52829-submitting-form-not-working-in-firefox/#findComment-260842 Share on other sites
