[SOLVED] preg match letter and numbers and followed by -,._ maximum of {2,50}

hi everyone,

 

I am trying to construct a pregmatch validation function which allows a user to type letters, numbers and followed by underscore, dash, comma and fullstop.

 

This is what i tried so far and it doesn't work.

 

 

/^[a-zA-Z0-9][\w\.\,\_]$/

in javascript

^[\w\d][\s\,\.\-\_]$

Neither of this works at all.

 

Please help.
