Hi everyone,

I am trying to highlight first li tab on window.onload event, but no success, here is my html and css

<div id="main">
   <ul id="tabnavigation">
     <li ><a href="#" ><span>Check      </span></a></li>
     <li><a href="#" "><span>Equipment </span></a></li>
     <li><a href="#" "><span>Qualified   </span></a></li>

   </ul>

</div>

This is the CSS style i wish to apply to the first tab in my li list on window.onload event.

<style>

#tabnavigation a:hover, #tabnavigation a:active,
#tabnavigation a:focus
{
color: #fff;
background: #781351 url(images/left-tab-hover.gif) left top no-repeat;
padding-left: 10px
}

#tabnavigation a:hover span, #tabnavigation a:active span, #tabnavigation a:focus span

{
background: url(images/right-tab-hover.gif) right top no-repeat;
padding-right: 10px
}

</style>

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading.
