cape Posted June 18, 2007 Author Share Posted June 18, 2007 Hi first of all link to the source is incorrect. got source here http://snaps.php.net/php5.2-200706182030.tar.gz doing tar and getting error [root@###### tmp]# tar xvpf php5.2-200706152230.tar.bz2 i also downloaded php5.2-200706152230.tar.gz (gives me same error) tar: This does not look like a tar archive tar: Skipping to next header tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors any ideas why? PS: A snapshot is of php is made every half hour or so I think, so of course my link would become invalid. My point, download the source and read the file called README.
