I was wondering how the best way would be to learn PhP and MySql?

I would suggest the best way is to try and think of some things to learn how to do. Try and find out how to do something with the contents of an html form, for example. There are some beginner tutorials on phpfreaks:

Try and figure out what some of the bits of code might do. If all else fails, buy a book

There are PLENTY of tutorials all over the web, so all you have to do is find them.

Is there any good php books i could buy out there?  That they teach you how to make ur own php app. and mysql?

I learned from this book:

Author - Andy Harris

 

I thought the book was very easy to understand compared to others, so I would recommend this one.
