Hi guys,
Im glad that there is a "newb" section, I dont feel an idiot posting a question here :)

I had this idea when I was advertising my car in the local paper:
I created a very very simple page with four images of my car with no text. I then used cjb to create a short url to the page. In my paper ad I placed a few details followed by
"see www.***.cjb.net for pictures"

Since then I have created a few websites but none using php. But I think I will need it for this project.

I want to create a site where a user can upload three or four pictures (of limited filesize and dimensions) and a simple page is generated (with no text, just images on a page).
The site I have registered for this purpose is AdMate.co.uk
Ideally, I would like the generated page to be placed in a generated three/four digit directory (or subdomain) so the user can then advertise as follows:
"see 246.AdMate.co.uk for pictures"
or
"see AdMate.co.uk/246 for pictures"

So what do you guys think?
Dan

Well, it seems like a nice idea, but there are lots of sites out there that allow people to upload pictures and add comments and such. I think you would do better to take it a step further so not only could they go to their local paper and say "see URL for pictures" but they could send people to the address to see pictures and get more information without reading the paper. Even if someone were just browsing the web and came across it they could have the information about it and not just a few pictures.
