ojm
Hi, I coded a script a year or so ago, and was trying to use it again today for a new website on a new server. The site address right now is http://owen.housexy.org/ And I've uploaded my code here in zip file here: http://owen.housexy.org/owen.zip What the script it meant to do, and used to do, was say you wanted the Business Management category with the file Definitions, types and significance, you would go to: http://owen.housexy.org/index.php?cat=Business%20Management&info=Definitions,%20types%20and%20significance And with the .htaccess file it is meant to work with the following link to: http://owen.housexy.org/Business%20Management-Definitions,%20types%20and%20significance.htm And it would grab the text file and display it in on the site. Now, for some reason the script doesn't do this anymore. If anyone could have a look and suggest what the problem is it would be very much appreciated as I cannot figure out why it isn't doing as I wish! chronister
I will give you a little tip for getting help on here. don't use zip files or ask people to download stuff. Too much risk of virus's and shit. Grab the code yourself and post it here. If it is too long, make it into text files and attach it to the post. .txt files are non-infectable and most people have not problem downloading .txt files that are attached to the post. .zip files will almost always be ignored. thank you come again Nate
ojm
Hi, I've fixed it. By changing $_GET[cat] = $cat; $_GET[info] = $info; to $cat=$_GET['cat']; $info=$_GET['info'];
Yesideez
As an additional note to chronister's post (which I agree with 100%) when posting code try to remember to surround in with
and
tags as it makes it easier to read. It also prevents some code "activating" like bold, italics and new lines.
