Sol
I recently installed apache but for some reason when I type \"http://myipaddress\" I can\'t reach my site. I set my servername to localhost so I could type my ip address to get to my site. What did I not do? (btw if you need any info like version of apache just ask) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/623-apache-help/ Share on other sites
Blu_Smurf
Some times ISP\'s block port 80 access from the out side world. Also, routers, NAT\'s ad firewalls will block TCP/UDP access on port 80 unless you manually open it for incoming access. Blu_Smurf
if youre using a router, you need to set up a DMZ(demiliterised zone) on port 80 pointing to your internal IP address... But yeah, it can be a pain at times... I have had to use a redirect service before. www.mydomain.com then points to www.mydomain.com:8080 hehe Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/623-apache-help/#findComment-2090 Share on other sites
