horseatingweeds Posted August 1, 2007 Share Posted August 1, 2007 I'm learning php and am trying to send a simple email using this script: <?php mail("info@gentledoberman.com", "This is the subject", "This is the body"); ?> I'm getting this error: SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 apache I am running this on a local apache server. What am I missing here? This is the mail part of my php.ini [mail function] ; For Win32 only. SMTP = localhost smtp_port = 25 ; For Win32 only. sendmail_from = me@example.com ; For Unix only. You may supply arguments as well (default: "sendmail -t -i"). ;sendmail_path = ; Force the addition of the specified parameters to be passed as extra parameters ; to the sendmail binary.
