Hello,

Pretty new to Linux so struggling somewhat,

Ive installed Kubuntu and that seems to be running ok(ish)

however i have a asus wireless card that connects to a wireless router

now, kubuntu picks up the wirless card and the router which ill give it credit for, but the encryption is WPA and it seems to think its a WEP

ive tried setting a manual network config but it got to 28% connection and then died.

what do i need to do?

as once i can get online i start to learn what linux is all about

thanks!!

What is the model of your wireless card?  Model #? Serial #?

If possible, strip your router totally of all security configurations and try to connect as an unsecured wireless network and see what happens.  You probably need better drivers.  Are you using NDISWrapper?
