wintallo
Hello, I have a simple question. What is an efficient way to encrypt POST information. This question came up because I'm developing a PHP login system, and when I tried to log in, Firefox tells me I am about to POST data on a insecure connection. How do I make my POST connection secure? Thanks! Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/63340-php-post-security-question/ Share on other sites
dbo
You shouldn't need to encrypt it in PHP per se... what you need is to run it over SSL. https as opposed to http Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/63340-php-post-security-question/#findComment-315653 Share on other sites
Fadion
as dbo said, for secure communication u need to use <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security">SSL</a>. It is widely used in systems with transections and stuff to pass secure information. In your case i dont think u can go as far on using SSL with just a login system. Just be sure to validate the input and clean your data to prevent malicious attacks and u'll be a lot safe.
