I need some help with this..

 

 

<?php if {$row_Edit['postedby']; = $_SESSION['sess'];} { ?>

 

text

 

<?php } ?>

 

 

 

when i use that it gives me this:

 

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{', expecting '(' in /var/www/web1/web/edit.php on line 206

 

 

ive tried everything but cant get it to work.

 

what i want to do is make sure that a selected record in my recordset is the same as in my session before displaying text.

if ($row_Edit['postedby']== $_SESSION['sess'])

 

or may want to do this

 

$display=($row_Edit['postedby']== $_SESSION['sess']) ?$row_Edit['postedby']:"";

 

echo $display;

 

it check if its is equal and display $row_Edit['postedby'] else display nothing
