corillo181 Posted August 10, 2007 Share Posted August 10, 2007 hey I'm building a website which is on my computer for testing and I'm trying to make it xhtml 1.1 valid everything thing i done comes out as valid but i ge tone warning. Conflict between Mime Type and Document Type The document is being served with the text/html Mime Type which is not a registered media type for the XHTML 1.1 Document Type. The recommended media type for this document is: application/xhtml+xml they say i can use php to head a header to tell the browser what to use i use this. header("Content-Type: application/xhtml+xml; charset=utf-8"); but i still get the same wraning is there any other way to use php to make the mime type validate? d22552000 Posted August 10, 2007 Share Posted August 10, 2007 simply output your content type in a meta under head <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;utf-8"> </head> That code is not 100% acurate as I wrote it freehand and have not validated it.
