jaymc Posted August 17, 2007 Share Posted August 17, 2007 I think my forum has some kind of bot blasting it I have my own server so have full control, I noticed the load on the server spiraling out of control... after a bit of investigation I've found that when I take my forum offline the load is perfect! However, and this is the wierd part which is leading me to believe its a bot, after enabling the forum.. 1 second later I am faced with 20+ sleep connections in my mysql process list all coming from the forum 3 seconds later the whole server seems to come to a stand still and spirals out of control.. I havnt changed anything on the forum. Im running Invision 2.2. If you cant help with how the forum maybe getting blasted perhaps you can explain what a sleep command is in MYSQL and why 20 of them are causing a stand still See attatched screenshot [attachment deleted by admin] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
