Hi friends,

Could you please help me in Installation of PHP with mySQL support?

I have installed mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.22 with yum but when i am trying to install php-5.2.1 :

./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql

i am getting the following error in make install

Installing PEAR environment: /usr/local/lib/php/

/usr/local/php-5.2.1/sapi/cli/php: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/local/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.so.15: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

Could anyone please guide me how i can install php with mysql support.

I believe you'll need to install the mysql dev packages or something simular. I don't use whatever distro it is that uses yum (suse maybe?), but in order to install php from source with mysql you'll need at least the mysql headers installed.

Should be a package called mysql-dev or mysql-headers or something similar.

IMO, you'd be best off installing all (mysql, apache, php) from source if your going to install any from source.
