Aureole
I installed Apache and PHP and it works then I went to whatismyip.com and gave my IP to someone and he typed it in and the error he recieved was "unable to connect". Am I missing something? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/72952-apachephp-on-localhost/ Share on other sites
GingerRobot
Well, im no expert in these things whatsoever - however im sure you'll also need to configure your router. You'll need to allow access on port 80. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll probably end up having a bit of a security threat though. Aureole
No I don't know what I'm doing, I used the portforward.com guide for Apache and opened ports 80 and 443, now how can I make sure it's secure...? And does he just need to type in my IP and that's it? kenrbnsn
Many ISPs do not allow inbound traffic to port 80 on your PC. Ken Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/72952-apachephp-on-localhost/#findComment-367923 Share on other sites
Aureole
Well can I tell Apache to listen for connections on a different port? I've tried searching Google and I can't find anything, I just want to get it so other people can connect to it, please help. Aureole
Nobody got a link to a tutorial or anything? I would look on the Apache website but it's so hard to find anything on there, really it's so hard to navigate I can't even find a download link I had to use Google.com to find it...
