bachx
I know there are many topics regarding Word Filters but I couldn't find one for this particular problem. I want to create a Word-Filter script which ignores workarounds such as spaces (B adword) or BB-codes (<b>Bad</b>word). Any ideas on what specific code snippets to prevent those? trq
Theres not really alot you can do except put these badwords, spaces and all in the search list. Computers can't read/think yet. bachx
I'm pretty sure it can be done, I've seen it done before. For spaces, maybe something like ignore spaces would work? And perhaps striptags for BB-Codes? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/73298-word-filter-question/#findComment-370105 Share on other sites
Barand
As soon as you move from whole words and remove spacing and punctuation before your badword search, you create a new set of problems. For instance, this innocent sentence would fail the test several times "Dermot Watkins, our man in Scunthorpe, found the bug. Gertrude, his wife and fellow graduate of UC, killed it."
