I dont want to spend anything. or at least only on a per purchase basis as the customer only has one product that may or may not sell.

For me this is a learning exercise.

 

Using paypal do i still need to creat a shopping cart or what do i do to connec things up if paypal is the best option for my situation.

If you're only looking at it costing you on a per-transaction basis, you pretty much only have two options - PayPal, or Google Checkout. Take a look at both websites and figure out which would be best for your situation.

 

I know with PayPal, you can use their own shopping cart system, but it sucks. You can code your own, or use a third party ecommerce solution, like osCommerce.
