tobeyt23
I am taken an article from one MySQL DB table into another. The current records have \r\n in it, once I insert into in table I am losing them. How can I keep from losing them this is what i am current doing on them: addslashes(htmlspecialchars($article)) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/73799-help-data/ Share on other sites
MadTechie
your probably not lossing them.. but to display them you need to convert new lines 2 breaks ie <?php $article = "testing \r\ndata"; $article = addslashes(htmlspecialchars($article)); echo nl2br($article); ?> if you do "echo $articlel;" instead of "echo nl2br($article);" and view source your probably see their are on different lines.. but not formatted to be on different lines.. thus you need to convert newline to break Hope this helps Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/73799-help-data/#findComment-372305 Share on other sites
