querying ldap

hi, I'm trying to query our internal active directory server with ldap. not having much succes. it looks like it connects but nothing is returned. any idea what I might be missing?

this is the result of the code above, in the browser:

Ldap can be very tricky.  The one main project I have uses heavy Ldap to authenticate it's admin's on a private server.
