Designing Card game in PHP/MySQL and AJAX

Designing Card game in php is it possible ? Some of you may have tried, just need advice.

Of course its possible. Whats the problem?

Actually no problem till now, was just thinking. if it is possible or not . But it will be a Multiplayer Game, can it be done in PHP alone. PHP Network function is enough or not like openlog(), syslog() etc...

I think you should also use sockets for this(Don't hold me to this). I have never done anything like that... but that's just what I would think that I would try and do.
