Demonic
Sorry for double posting, So first number will increase when theres a huge change in the software, maybe even a complete rewrite that is. The second number is minor changes, new features or updated functions and what not. The last number then is used for? or when small bugs are fixed. Now I get it. Alright say I got version 1.0.0. Could I add a b or rc at the end with a number proceeding after it to determine alpha beta or rc, i.e, 1.0.0b1 or 1.0.0a1 or 1.0.0rc1 like some softwares do it. revraz
You can do whatever you want, the number scheme is not set in stone, it's whatever the Author determines.
cooldude832
most developments start in a 0.0.1 phase, and depending on who you are each additional function/mod adds to the last digits, then when that digit gets too large, or a significant chagen is made the middle digits cahnge, then on a rewrite, liek alpha to beta the first digit chagne
