DarkPrince2005
If anyone has ever used FPDF to print pdf files, please help... I am trying to print the information that was posted from another page. <?php require('fpdf.php'); $pdf=new FPDF(); $pdf->AddPage(); $pdf->SetFont('Arial','B',16); $pdf->Cell(40,10,'$_POST[status_report]'); $pdf->Output(); ?> But, it only prints the words "$_POST[status_report]".... trq
Variables are not interpolated within single quotes. In fact, in this case you don't need quotes at all. <?php require('fpdf.php'); $pdf=new FPDF(); $pdf->AddPage(); $pdf->SetFont('Arial','B',16); $pdf->Cell(40,10,$_POST['status_report']); $pdf->Output(); ?> PS: You really ought wrap your logic in a check to see the form has beeen submitted. <?php if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { require 'fpdf.php'; $pdf=new FPDF(); $pdf->AddPage(); $pdf->SetFont('Arial','B',16); $pdf->Cell(40,10,$_POST['status_report']); $pdf->Output(); } ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/76031-fpdf/#findComment-384886 Share on other sites
DarkPrince2005
ok that worked, but can you tell me how i can make it all fit. The field is quite big and it's actually got a proper status report in it. How can I make it carry on when it exceeds the width of the page.
