rodin69
Hi all, I'm new here. But it already feels good to be here. Let me get straight to the point. I'm new to php and I can't seem to get the source code to work. I'm saving it as .php but whenever i try opening it with firefox, the download box appears. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 by the way. I tried using Text Editor, Screem, Quanta and Bluefish. It's really frustrating. I double checked whether php is installed and in fact i have php5. The problem is not the code, php is very similar to C based languages and I know my fare share of them especially C++. So how do I go about this ? Any special procedures ? Or any tutorials that I can use to get started on coding php on ubuntu. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advanced. Rodin69

cooldude832
well of course you will never get the source code it processes pre hypertext processer. Firefox is a hypertext processor, it will show you the final output, you need to rewite your scritps upload to your htdocs folder or whatever you have it called, and then view it as "output"
