Check what other programs you have running in the background, make sure that your antivirus/firewall hasn't blocked ZDE.exe or javaw.exe, but the truth is that Java is not stable. If you have one of the exe's running in the background close them then try again... You can get to them by going to the task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and going to processes. These are all just suggestions.

That happened all the time when I was trying out PHP IDE's.  I decided to use PhpED.  PhpED is a bit cheaper(the send studio that cost 100 is just crap with the features), and has about all of the features the zend studio that are very important and a lot of other.  best thing is it does not require java which makes it much more stable.
