leeloo
Hello All!! I'm kind of new on PHP stuff but I would like to know more about this. So, this is the deal: I have a virtual machine with windows XP professional, SP2, IIS installed and I'm also trying to install PHP 5.2.5. The main goal is to put PHP working with MYSQL.....but I'm having trouble just to put PHP working. I have Installed PHP 5.2.5 manually and with the wizard.....and I can't make it work anyway. I made the phpinfo script to try it and nothing appears when i try to open it on browser......it only displays a whith page with the code line inside "<?phpinfo();?>". Now, can anyone tell me what's going on?? How can I fix this?? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/79426-php-installation-failed/ Share on other sites
trq
I would suggest you install XAMPP or something simular unless you really want to learn about how php / apache and mysql are installed / work together. Even then, I would suggest you do so on Linux. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/79426-php-installation-failed/#findComment-402147 Share on other sites
wildteen88
If you used the installer with IIS then it should work. Also the code you put in your test php file should be: <?php phpinfo(); ?> Short open tags(<? or <?=) will not work "out of the box". You have to configure the php.ini in order for short open tags to work.
