optikalefx
i have all this script working fine. And i need to send PHP the variable 'i' that ive been using. so i want to include this <script type="text/javascript"> document.write("<input type='hidden' value='"+i+"' name='i'>"); </script> In order for this to work i use the above to send 'i'. however, when i test my alert(i) function with that in place, it says Object [htmlinputElement] instead of i When i get rid of the above script i can alert i, but of course i cant send it to php. There must a be happy medium here.

Daniel0
Well, that's probably because you've named the input i and therefore overriding the value.
