[SOLVED] calculating contents of rows

Recommended Posts

the following code calculates the amount of "rows" that reside under the users (money) column....

$query = "SELECT COUNT(money) FROM users";

$result = mysql_query($query) or die("Error: ".mysql_error());

however, how can i make it so it, calculates the contents of these rows altogether.

money

row 1 300

row 2 300

row 3 300

row 4 300

output would be: 1200

i still cant figure out how to do this one, checked mysql manuals, im sure its something simple! any ideas?

much appreciated!
