vargefaret
By pushing a button on my site (a *.png-file) the choise of downloading and saving this file (*.pdf) should pop up (as if it were a *.zip-file). I do not want my (or any other browser) to automatically open it. How do I do this? I have to mention that I am TOTALLY "stupid" when it comes to scripting. I will need a step-by-step info on this. :-\ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/82606-download-not-open-linked-pdf-file/ Share on other sites

vargefaret
Check out the FAQ/Code snippet repository for a thread on forcing a download. Thank you for your quick response! I did actually see that - and I have to admit that I have seen several - but I can't find out how to make it work. I have seriously tried (thus me saying I'm "stupid") - but I can't seem to find out what code goes where...
