mike1313
I don't know if this belongs in PHP or MySQL. But I'm inserting a new row into the table and as I'm doing so I want to find out what the id of that new row will be. So here's the code. mysql_query("INSERT INTO `mail` (`id`, `to`, `from`, `title`, `message`, `read`) VALUES ('', '$_POST[who]', '$player[id]', '$sub', '$msg', 'N')"); mysql_query("INSERT INTO `events` (`id`, `event`, `date`, `pid`) VALUES ('', '$event', '$ndate', '$_POST[who]')"); echo "<center>Message sent to $q2[username]</center>"; } So where it says "Message sent to $q2[username]" I want it to display "Message sent to $q2[username] with ID id" with id being the id of the inserted row. Any help is appreciated. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/82889-solved-grabbing-id/ Share on other sites
