asmith
why i always use java on my pages . for example disable a button for a form to be completed , when i run it on internet explorer a yellow bar comes at the top of the page and ask me about do i allow it or not .... when i accept it , then the page would run fine . but other sites i see use java , but never this yellow bar comes up ! what is different between my pages and other sites ? ( firefox runs it fine) . if it is a setting in IE , why it won't effect other sites ? (i'm using IE 6 ) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/82925-solved-difference-between-my-java-and-others/ Share on other sites
PFMaBiSmAd
You are opening the file directly through the file system in your browser (probably from your desktop or your my documents folder.) That uses a higher browser security setting. When you open a file on the Internet, the browser uses a different security setting. If you were to install a web server (Apache/IIS) on your computer and placed your file in the web document folder and browse to it using a URL (http://localhost/yourfile.html) instead of browsing to it through the file system, it would not display the yellow-bar warning message.
