Stalingrad Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi. I'm programming a site, and for dome reason I can't get a variable to display. I use sessions; and am logged in, but I can't seem to get a variable to show teh 'Credits" from the users table. It comes up black/as nothing. Yes, the cedits row in the users table is there, and yes I have credits, (750). How do I didplay the credits that the logged in user has to them? I'm currently using: $creditsqry = "SELECT credits FROM `users` WHERE username='$username'"; $credits = mysql_query($creditsqry); And display in: "$credits" as teh variable to display teh number of credits the user has for his/her account only. Also; if it helps: $username = $_SESSION['username']; May somebody please help me out? Thank You. ^^ Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/83607-variable-trouble/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
kenrbnsn Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 After you do the mysql_query() you need to fetch the rows: <?php $creditsqry = "SELECT credits FROM `users` WHERE username='$username'"; $results = mysql_query($creditsqry) or die("Problem with the query: $creditsqry<br>" . mysql_error()); $rw = mysql_fetch_assoc($results); $credits = $rw['credits']; echo $credits; ?> Ken Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/83607-variable-trouble/#findComment-425356 Share on other sites More sharing options...
