revraz
Some users saying that they are not allowed to a page that requires a Login, but the only complaints are coming from users using Vista/IE7. I'm on XP with IE7 and so are a ton of others with no issues. I'm just doing a simple $_SESSION['auth']=1 set upon login and checking that in pages that require a Login to view. Wondering if Vista treats sessions differently? Stooney
Well sessions are handled server side, so I doubt that would be an issue. sKunKbad
Well sessions are handled server side, so I doubt that would be an issue. Sessions are handled server side, but the session ID "PHPSESSID" is a cookie. If Vista/IE7 has its default cookie permissions set to not allow cookies then it could be a problem. sKunKbad
Revraz, you might ask one of these users to check their cookie permissions and see what the default is showing. I am interested to know what they say. It would seem extreme that Microsoft would do this because cookie use is so widespread. The users of these machines would be very limited to how they see and use the internet. Just another reason not to get Vista! revraz
I think I may know what's happening, some of their links use www and some don't, so it's treating it like two different sessions. sKunKbad
I hate domain issues like that. I recently had an issue with an AJAX request that was trying to open a file, and it not working because www and non-www are treated as separate domains.
