So i know that it is not on local host because i am using the same settings that godaddy gave me. Why could it possibally give me this error.

Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

heres my connect code
<?php
$hostname_myScope = "p**mysql**.secureserver.net";
$username_myScope = "*****";
$password_myScope = "********";
$myScope = mysql_pconnect($hostname_myScope, $username_myScope, $password_myScope) or trigger_error("NOPE".mysql_error()."<br>".E_USER_ERROR);
$dbConn = mysql_select_db($username_myScope) or die('There isnt a database with that name! <br> '.mysql_error());
?>

the error is on this line:

$myScope = mysql_pconnect($hostname_myScope, $username_myScope, $password_myScope) or trigger_error("NOPE".mysql_error()."<br>".E_USER_ERROR);

try replace it with this or remove the p from mysql_pconnect

$myScope = mysql_connect($hostname_myScope, $username_myScope, $password_myScope) or trigger_error("NOPE".mysql_error()."<br>".E_USER_ERROR);

Everything seems alryt otherwise
