As far as I know that would be PHP version and PHP config-related not nesc. Apache unless you inadvertently upgraded PHP at the same time and changed your default config settings. I think this is really a PHP configuration question. You will need also to state your old/new PHP versions.

 

Check path/directory config for your new PHP version as defaults may change with each release
