High Security Portals

Hi all,

I'm new to PHP and a lot of web design as a whole so I apologize for my "noobishness". I'm looking for some answers to questions, and maybe a little discussion about security, PHP, & concerning logins and user databases.

  • Is the PHP/MySQL combination the most secure means of providing a secure web portal?
  • What are some security issues about PHP/MySQL that I should be concerned with?
  • Any Tips for creating the Highest Possible Security portal?

I understand high security is a subjective term but any input would be great

Thanks!

Chris
