Content type in HTML Mime Mail for PHP

Hello all,

I'm using HTML Mime Mail for PHP (http://www.phpguru.org/static/mime.mail.html) in a website I'm developing so that after someone fills the contact form (and it is stored in the database) emails can be sent to the administrator of the website and to the person that filled the form.

It's in spanish, and the problem I'm having is that the accents are shown like this:

á é í ó ú ñ

istead of

á é í ó ú ñ

They are shown like the 1st option in Thunderbird, Yahoo & Hotmail.

In Gmail they are shown like the 2nd option.

Why is that?

Is it a server, database, browser or client configuration?

Thanks.
